Staggering stats due to unaddressed near vision impairment
In western, eastern, and central sub-Saharan Africa, more than 80% of near vision impairment is left unaddressed.
Up to 80% of blindness is preventable and treatable with current technology and knowledge.
But millions still lose their sight due to lack of access to timely care and almost half (over 1 billion) cases of the worlds vision impairment cases could have been prevented or are still to be addressed.
