Obowo is a Local Government in Imo State, Nigeria. As at 2016, it had an estimated population of 161,700.
Project Obowo held from the 3rd to the 7th of April 2019.
This project was supported and delivered by an outreach team of 16 members and was carried out in two communities.
What We Did
- 3 successful cataract surgeries were delivered
- Eye Health educational seminars were delivered to a group of 200 drivers.
- 600 people received free consultation
- 442 people were prescribed eye glasses
- 300 eye drops given including for dry eyes, chloramphenicol and for anti-glaucoma
- 5000 tablets of Vitamin suppliments provided
